Frequently asked questions
Is this free?
Yes, during beta. Paid plans launch with Phase 2 and will be flagged in product and via email at least 30 days before they take effect. No card required to sign up.
How fast is a typical run?
Most cases deliver in under two minutes. Cases that the orchestrator escalates to a professional reviewer wait on a human; the sign-off SLA during beta is one business day.
How accurate is the AI?
Honestly: it is good at synthesis, retrieval, and citation discipline. It is not a substitute for a vet on a high-stakes call, and we do not pretend otherwise. The pipeline is designed so the AI handles routine cases end-to-end and explicitly escalates the cases where its confidence — or its evidence base — is weak. The verifier downgrades or removes citations that do not match their claims; the orchestrator routes anything involving drug dosing, mass water exchange, system shutdown, harvest, or food-safety/compliance to a human reviewer before delivery.
Can I share a report?
Yes. From the case page, open Share to make the report visible to your whole organization or keep it private. Public showcase publication requires admin curation — we anonymize first, then publish.
Is my data used to train AI?
No. AquaMind V2 calls third-party models in a no-training mode where the provider supports it. Your case data is not exported to any third party for training. We do use anonymized, aggregated case patterns internally to improve routing and evaluation — never the raw content, never shared outside WaterDoctor.
Who reviews escalated cases?
A small, named panel of aquaculture professionals (the "Professionals pool"). See the Team page for the current roster. Dr Wang personally signs off the clinical-safety-class cases at launch; the panel grows as we onboard verified specialists by domain.
What about pricing?
Phase 2 introduces tiered plans: a free tier for low-volume hobbyists and students, a pro tier for individual farm operators, and an organization tier for multi-site operations. Pricing is not yet finalized; beta users will get advance notice and grandfathered terms.
What languages do you support?
English and 简体中文 from day one, for both the UI chrome and the report body. The agents read intake forms in either language. Other languages on request — write to [email protected].
What if the report is wrong?
Use the Report an issue link on the case page. Genuine errors feed our evaluation set; persistent classes of error become priorities for the next pipeline iteration. We do not silently swallow feedback.
Can I run this on-premise / behind my firewall?
Not in Phase 1. On-premise and dedicated regional deployments are scoped for Phase 2 for organizations with compliance reasons that require it. Contact us if this matters for your operation.
Where can I see the underlying scientific basis?
The methodology is grounded in three layers of literature: WaterDoctor's own published work (including the SND microbial engine research), the open aquaculture and aquatic-veterinary literature, and curated web sources. Every load-bearing claim in a delivered report is verified against Crossref or DataCite by DOI. See the Glossary for the terminology.
