Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AquaMind V2, operated by WaterDoctor Pte Ltd ("WaterDoctor", "we"), a private limited company incorporated in Singapore.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or otherwise using AquaMind V2, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Beta status

AquaMind V2 is currently offered as a free beta. Service availability, accuracy, feature scope, and pricing are subject to change. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes — at least 30 days for pricing changes, and as much notice as we practically can for feature changes.

Billing and payments. When paid plans are enabled after the beta, subscription billing and card payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc., acting as a processor on our behalf. Your card details are entered on Stripe-hosted pages and are never received or stored by WaterDoctor. We retain billing and payment records — your plan tier, subscription status, and invoice amounts and dates — to operate your subscription, as described in the Privacy policy. Fees are stated exclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise indicated at checkout.

3. The service is decision support, not veterinary practice

AquaMind V2 produces analysis, citations, and recommendations to support aquaculture operators. It is not a substitute for a licensed veterinarian, a regulated diagnostic laboratory, or jurisdiction-specific regulatory advice.

In particular:

• Drug dosing. Any drug-dosing recommendation is informational. You must verify dose, route, withdrawal period, and legal status against your local regulations and a licensed veterinarian before administering anything to live animals.
• Mass water exchange, system shutdown, harvest decisions. Recommendations involving these actions are routed to human expert sign-off, but the final operational decision is yours.
• Food safety and regulatory compliance. Where a case touches food safety or regulated reporting, you remain responsible for fulfilling reporting obligations to the appropriate authority.

By using the service you accept that high-stakes decisions remain yours, and that you will not act on AquaMind output without applying your own professional judgement.

4. Your account

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models, prompts, or system architecture.
• Scrape, automate, or otherwise programmatically harvest AquaMind output at scale to train a competing model or service.
• Attempt to bypass, defeat, or trick the citation verifier or the expert-sign-off escalation logic.
• Submit unlawful content, content infringing third-party rights, or attachments containing material you do not have the right to upload.
• Use the service to facilitate unlawful animal-husbandry practices, banned-substance dosing, or evasion of food-safety regulation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts in violation of this section.

6. Content and ownership

Your data is yours. You retain ownership of all case data, attachments, and notes you submit. You grant WaterDoctor a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process your data through the AquaMind pipeline so we can produce your report and operate the service. This license ends when you delete the data, except to the extent processing is required to complete an in-flight case or to comply with our retention obligations described in the Privacy policy.

Reports. The report WaterDoctor returns to you is yours to use, including commercially within your operation. You may not republish AquaMind-generated reports as your own product or service.

Showcase. Only cases you have explicitly flagged for showcase publication, and only after admin anonymization review, may be published publicly. You may withdraw a showcase case at any time.

7. Privacy

Our handling of personal and case data is described in the Privacy policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" during the beta period. We make no warranty of uptime, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Aquaculture is biological and adversarial — the same intake on two days may yield different recommendations as the literature and our pipeline improve.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WaterDoctor's total liability arising out of or relating to the service, in aggregate, is limited to the greater of (a) fees you paid WaterDoctor in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) SGD 100 during the free beta period. WaterDoctor is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of stock, loss of revenue, or business interruption.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify WaterDoctor against third-party claims arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law in your operation.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably practicable. Sections 3, 5, 6 (ownership of past reports), 8, 9, and 10 survive termination.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. The Singapore courts have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, save that we may seek injunctive relief in any jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property.
